FAQs

  • Pediatric Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a healthcare model where families pay a flat monthly fee directly to their child’s pediatrician for comprehensive, personalized care. It removes the involvement of insurance companies for most services, allowing for more accessible, consistent, and relationship-based care.

  • No we do not accept insurance. This is because we prioritize patient relationships over insurance companies offering families more time, better access, and transparent pricing without interference from insurers. It is still recommended to have health insurance for your child to cover things like ER visits, hospitalizations, high cost imaging, etc.

  • Dr. Vedella is accessible via phone and text for urgent matters after hours.

  • If Dr. Vedella is not available for an extended period of time, there will either be another pediatric provider available to contact OR in the case of emergency, the ER or urgent care facility would need to be used.

  • I believe vaccines are one of the most important and effective tools we have to protect your child’s health. I follow the recommended immunization schedule from the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

I understand that some parents have questions or concerns about vaccines. My goal is to listen, provide honest, evidence-based information, and work with you to make the best decisions for your child’s well-being.
