Hello and Welcome to Vedella Pediatrics!

My name is Dr. Whitney Vedella, and I am a Board-Certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. I founded Vedella Pediatrics with the goal of delivering exceptional pediatric care to families in the Naples community. Through a Direct Primary Care model, I am able to maintain a smaller patient panel, which ensures ample time with each child and family. This approach eliminates long wait times and allows for meaningful, unhurried visits where all questions and concerns can be thoroughly addressed.

I believe it is essential for parents, children, and adolescents to feel heard, informed, and confident in their healthcare. With direct access to the physician, families can feel reassured that support is available when urgent needs arise, including acute illnesses and minor injuries.

I am originally from Maryland and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Salisbury University. Following a year of service with AmeriCorps in Washington, D.C., I attended medical school at the American University of the Caribbean. I then completed my pediatric residency training at SUNY Upstate Medical University.

After residency, I relocated to Southwest Florida with my family and began my career practicing pediatrics at Family Health Centers of SWFL, followed by NCH Pediatrics. These roles provided invaluable clinical experience and deepened my commitment to pediatric care. I later took a hiatus from clinical practice to focus on raising our three wonderful children. During this time, I completed a fellowship with the Academy of Pediatric Integrative Medicine, gaining additional expertise in evidence-based, holistic approaches to optimizing children's health and environments.

Starting my own practice has been a long-held dream, and I am truly honored to bring that vision to life. I look forward to partnering with families to provide personalized, comprehensive care for every stage of childhood.
